Those Peppers!

Some things can’t fully be explained, like the way these peppers felt like they were calling out to me during a shoot somewhere in downtown Sedona, AZ. I was wandering around, taking in the scenery, when I happened to look up and locked eyes with a cluster of hanging peppers outside a quaint little restaurant. It stopped me in my tracks.

I knew instantly I had to walk over and grab a few shots. As I got closer, the colors sharpened into focus. Vibrant reds glowing in the sun, each pepper hanging perfectly with the others like they were part of some intentional little art piece. I loved everything about them. The texture, the way they swayed slightly in the breeze, the richness of that red against the warm Sedona light.

It was the perfect shot.

Still to this day, it remains one of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken.
